Project
LED Studio
Overview
Designing LED animations for hardware projects meant building them frame by frame in Figma, linking each state together just to see how something might move. The animations were never smooth, never accurate to what the hardware would actually show. Changing one thing meant rebuilding the whole sequence from scratch.
So I built LED Studio, a tool that actually lets you design animations the way they'll look on the hardware. You pick your motion, pattern, and color, and the animation plays back live in the browser at the right speed. You can set how many LEDs you're working with and switch between a linear strip or a radial ring depending on your form factor.
What used to take an afternoon of Figma work now takes a few minutes. When something feels right, you can send it directly to the physical hardware over WiFi or export a spec file for the engineering team.
